New construction and repairs of existing siren systems – even the obsolete E57 sirens – are only part of our services: We design and supply combined systems for alarm signals and voice announcements – but also video surveillance systems, alarm transmitters and radio message receivers for fire brigades and disaster control. In addition, we install lightning protection systems and surge protection measures on roofs and buildings.
Fischer Warnsysteme is a siren manufacturer and installs siren systems and warning systems on behalf of public authorities, such as local, regional or national authorities in the fields of civil protection and disaster management, as well as for fire services and police forces. Early and acute warnings – via siren and voice announcement
The catastrophic floods of summer 2021 have clearly demonstrated that dangerous natural disasters can occur at any time and anywhere in Germany. Whilst we cannot influence local weather conditions themselves, timely warnings save lives and help to safeguard valuable possessions wherever possible.
Fail-safe thanks to battery backup, which can be supplemented with a solar panel if required
As an ‘accessible’ public warning system – independent of the mobile network and of functioning electricity and telephone lines – modern electronic siren systems with a voice announcement option are ideal. They can alert people in a targeted manner and communicate precise instructions for action, both for early warning and in an emergency.
Powered by batteries and, where necessary, by solar panels, these modern ‘talking sirens’ operate largely independently. If required, they can be activated via digital radio – both by the local fire service and via MoWaS, the Civil Defence’s modular warning system.
For some time now, experts from the THW and civil protection agencies have therefore been calling for the rapid roll-out of new siren systems. Furthermore, in March 2021, the Federal Office for Civil Protection and Disaster Assistance (BBK) announced that it would provide financial support to the federal states and local authorities to help them expand their siren networks.

Siren E57 – Repair or replace in a future-proof manner?

The specialists at Fischer Warnsysteme are highly experienced in the professional repair of faulty E57 siren systems. We are also happy to repair older E57 sirens, provided they are in a suitable condition – and to bring their often outdated siren control technology up to current, VDE-compliant standards.
Nevertheless, the question arises as to the economic viability of such a repair. Our experience shows that most E57 motor sirens are past their prime.
In this respect, damage to an aged “standard siren” E57 can be the best reason to change to a future-proof system right away instead of rescuing a vulnerable old device once again.
Technically and financially, there is a lot to be said for a replacement, from operational reliability and cheaper maintenance to the new equipment warranty, which you will of course receive on your new system.
